Bennelong

Dining within the sails of the Sydney Opera House places you inside the view itself. Bennelong occupies a landmark space, where grand proportions and glass walls frame the life of the harbour outside. The drama of the architecture is matched by the artistry on the plate, creating a narrative unmistakably tied to its location in Sydney. The grandeur of the setting feels integral to the meal, a constant reminder of the unique convergence of culture and place. The kitchen’s philosophy reflects its surroundings. This contemporary Australian vision is rooted in respect for seasonality and provenance, with a focus on the country’s finest produce. Sourced from a network of farmers, fishers, and producers who are central to the restaurant's story, this commitment results in a selection of dishes that is an elegant expression of craftsmanship and a celebration of its origins, capturing a sense of place with each plate. Over the years, certain creations have come to define the restaurant's identity. The kitchen has become known for its treatment of ingredients like Western Australian marron and roasted Wollemi duck, plates that showcase precision and clarity of flavour.
